FAIRHOPE, Alabama — George Kirchoff of the Baldwin County SCORE Chapter 630 invites all would-be entrepreneurs and those in business now, to attend one or all six free upcoming SCORE Workshops.

The first will be held in the Fairhope Library Jan. 24, 6:30-7:30 p.m. There will be an open forum on “Start-up and Small Business Financing.” Panelists will be from SCORE, Small Business Administration, and the Regional Planning Commission.

On Feb. 7, 6:30 p.m., at the Fairhope library, the subject will be “Basic Accounting for Start-up and Small Business.” Local, active certified public accounts will provide current pertinent information.

The March 8 workshop will be held at the Daphne Public Library, 6:30 p.m. The subject will be “Legal Forms of Business.” This is a very important subject, especially if one is currently operating as a sole proprietorship. Fairhope attorney, Gregory P. Bru, will answer questions raised by attendees.

On Thursday, April 12, 6:30 p.m., in the Daphne Library, an overview of “On Understanding Personal Preferences in Business” will be given. The foundation of this presentation is the well- known Meyers Briggs doctrine presented by a member of SCORE certified in this subject area.

Thursday, May 17, in the Foley Public Library, 6:30-7:30 p.m., the subject will be “Marketing Strategies for Small Business.” Marc Miller, local entrepreneur, will be the presenter.

The last workshop will also be held in the Foley library, June 21, 6:30 p.m. The subject will be “Social Media and Business Promotion: “Small Investment Yields Large Returns.” The panelist will be Dan Therell, local consultant specializing in this area of cyber oriented business marketing.

Seating is somewhat limited so come early.
