Coriel Helmina McLaughlin Scott, born Oct. 21, 1921, born and raised in Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, a longtime resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bramwell Scott Sr.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Matas of New Orleans; three sons, William B. Scott Jr. of Fairhope, John D. Scott of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Robert A. Scott of Point Clear; two daughters, Maureen Coriel Scott McLaughlin of Baker, Ore., and Virginia Marie Scott Wilson of Spanish Fort; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Brief services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope with Pastor C.J. McBride officiating. Interment will be held at Cayman Brac, Cayman Islands, at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Abiding Love Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 1227, Foley, AL 36536.
