ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — A second arrest has been made in the case of a Silverhill man who was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and assault following an early morning accident Sunday north of Loxley.

On Tuesday afternoon, July 5, Thomas James Tague III, of 118 Tomrick Circle in Daphne, was arrested by Baldwin County Sheriff's deputies and charged with one count of Obstructing Government Operations. Tague was transported to the Baldwin County Correctional Facility where he was later released on $1,000 bond.

The arrest came after Tague, manager of the Red Roost Bar on Linholm Road, was questioned about his involvement in the accident where Kevin Thomas Littrell, 24, of 15800 Allen Road, lost control o f his Chevy truck and flipped it resulting in one of the passengers, Haley Brackin, having to be life-flighted to a Pensacola Hospital, where she was later released, according to Alabama State Trooper Greg Eubanks.

Occurring at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, Littrell was traveling way over the 35 mph speed limit on Linholm Road, off of County Road 64, just north of Interstate 10, with three passengers inside.

“It happened about one half mile from the Red Roost Bar, which Littrell’s mom and boyfriend, (Jim Tague) own. Because they didn’t want any involvement with authorities, his mom took him and his friends to another location in her car. I’m not sure what happened to the girl or why she was left behind,” Eubanks said.

Littrell and his friends were found a while later and even though they hall had minor injures, they refused medical attention, Eubanks said.

Littrell was arrested and charged with one count of leaving the scene of an accident with injury or death ($5,000), driving under the influence of alcohol ($1,000) and first degree assault ($10,000) and transported to the Baldwin County Correctional Facility in Bay Minette where he was later released on $10,000 bond.

It is not certain if drugs were involved or not, Eubanks said, as the investigation is ongoing.

“I have heard two or three different stories about what happened. Some say they left the girl at the scene, others say she was taken to another location and left there, so I’m not exactly sure what happened,” Eubanks said.
