ORANGE BEACH, AL - Back by popular demand, Tom Scholz' band Boston will embark on another highly anticipated tour, following a successful run last year that brought the band back to Japan after 35 years.
The first show kicks off on Thursday, April 30, in Tuscaloosa at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater, with the band performing more than four dozen shows in North America, running through Aug. 30 in Kansas City, Mo.
On Friday the rock 'n' roll icons will take the stage in Orange Beach at the Amphitheater at The Wharf. Kansas, another classic rock band from the 1970s, opens the show at 7 p.m.
The Wharf is offering a two special ticket offers for the show. The first is a "Me Plus Three" offer for $99. It gets you four tickets for the show with no additional fees and it's available at the box office or Ticketmaster, no additional fees at either place.
Also, $20 tickets are available at both places as well with no additional fees if you buy from the box office. There are additional fees if you purchase the $20 tickets through Ticketmaster.
Always a huge crowd pleaser with their high-energy stage show, out-of-this-world sound, and remarkable musicianship and singing, Boston prides itself on performing a totally live show without the use of prerecorded music or technical enhancements, delivering the extraordinary sound that is faithful to their studio recordings.
Boston became an iconic classic rock fixture when they joined the music scene with their self-titled album in 1976. With more than 17 million copies sold,Boston generated hits such as "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," and "Smokin'," rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today.
Their second album, Don't Look Back was another chart-topper that confirmed their place in rock history, followed by Third Stage, which hit No.1 on the charts, with the top single of 1986, "Amanda." With more than 31 million albums sold to date, Boston has stood the test of time, as evidenced by live audiences that span generations.
Fans can expect to hear all the classic songs they have grown to love, and will be treated to some new additions to their set list based on recent requests. Guests will be treated to wild Hammond organ work, soaring harmony guitars, and exceptional vocal arrangements, as well as Boston’s unique visual stage presentation and plenty of extra-terrestrial sounds heard nowhere else on Earth.
