DAPHNE, Ala.— A summit sponsored by SEEDS—Supporting Educational Enrichment in Daphne Schools—and Daphne’s TEAM UP for Academic Excellence is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Daphne High School’s Trojan Hall.
School officials and SEEDS board members will meet with parents to discuss our schools’ progress and the challenges they face.
“It will be a conversation about what’s going on in the schools,” Denise D’Oliveira, SEEDS executive director, said. “What we’re hoping is to have the principals share on the progress their schools are making.”
The event demonstrates how the Daphne schools work together to improve academic achievement, according to Daphne High School principal Don Blanchard.
“We have to build on what each other is doing to make sure students get what they need,” Blanchard said in a news release.
The summit will include a panel discussion with Daphne school principals; the audience will then separate into smaller groups to brainstorm ideas on how they can personally support student success.
Daphne parents, business leaders, elected officials and citizens are encouraged to attend.
