Margaret “Peggy” Knight Seeger, born Dec. 14, 1939 in New Orleans, a resident of Fairhope for the past 29 years, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 in Fairhope after a brief illness.
She attended the University of Texas and Louisiana State University and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Growing up, she loved horses and had a Tennessee Walker named Queenie.
When she married John Seeger in 1980, they worked together for the company he founded, Sea Structures Engineering, a marine design and engineering firm. In her later life she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Dale (Mari) Linder of Daphne, Deborah (Bill) Armington of Astoria, Ore.; and David Linder of Houston; five grandchildren, Jeff, Mindy, Katie, Danielle and Eko; and her Sheltie, Puppy.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29 at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Clatsop CASA, a not-for-profit organization whose volunteers advocate for children in the foster care system, P.O. Box 514, Astoria, OR 97103.
