COLUMBIA, S.C.—Terry Knotts, a district general agent for Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company, has received a district performance award for excellence. Knotts, who represents the Eastern Shore/Gulf Coast area of Alabama for Colonial Life, received the Top Developing District award for his sales management results in 2008.

As a district general agent with the company, Knotts is responsible for building a sales team to market Colonial Life’s products, programs and services in the area.

Knotts has worked at Colonial Life for the past year. He is a volunteer with the American Cancer Society, a coach for Dixie Youth Baseball and a member of Christ the King Church in Daphne. He and his wife, Lori, live in Spanish Fort with their two children.
