SFHS Project Graduation in planning stages

SPANISH FORT, Ala. — In a little more than two months, the anticipation and excitement of Spanish Fort High School's first graduation will be upon the community. With the blessing of school administrators, a group of parents would like to begin a yearly tradition for our Spanish Fort graduates called “Toro Project Graduation”.

Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol and drug-free celebration for graduating seniors.

All over the nation, concerned parents and community leaders host Project Graduation parties for their graduates as a safe alternate to the dangerous tradition of party hopping after their graduation ceremony.

A few of the planned activities include a lavish Casino Party with prizes for all graduates, a D.J. and dancing, non-stop food, video games, inflatables, movies, door prizes, and a $500 Draw Down. A quality Project Graduation party will cost around $100 per student.

The Project Graduation Committee is seeking donations from local businesses, civic organizations, churches, and parents to help offset this expense for the graduates.

Donations can be in the form of monetary contributions, gift certificates, prizes or food donations.

Any donation is welcomed, from a $25 gift card to $2,500 sponsorship.

All donations will be recognized in the Project Graduation program and future advertising.

All parents of SFHS seniors are invited to join the Project Graduation Committee.

For more information or to make a donation, call Amy Plunkett at 510-7741, Mary Brabner at 591-0695, or Connie Benefield at 583-7824.
