Harold Dempsey Sheffield, 84, a native of Barlow Bend and resident of Fairhope died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009.
He was a World War II veteran, and a Master Mason for 57 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Schmitz Sheffield, and son, Ronnie Wayne Sheffield.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Mark) Cramton of Fairhope; daughter-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Wilmer; brother, Don Sheffield of Fairhope; two sisters, Pat Stewart of Saraland and Helen Schultz of Mobile.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12at Pine Crest Cemetery, Dauphin Island Parkway.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Thomas Hospital Foundation or Shrine Children’s Hospital.
