The Sheffield Dancers, under the direction of Celi Shinn and Colby Shinn, once again made a tremendous showing at the 2009 Tremaine National Finals in Orlando, Fla.

Their motto for the summer, “Pride, Passion, Performance,” helped drive them to the top, where they won multiple National Awards.

At the Grand Finale Gala, they were selected to perform in the National Dance Off judged by Hollywood legend Mitzi Gaynor and American Idol producer Michael Orland.

The dancers defended their 2008 title, being named the 2009 National Performance of the Year, and were presented a $5,000 cash award for their performance of “Rising.”

This award has been presented only six times since the inaugural gala in 2004.

The Sheffield Dancers have achieved this incredible title four times, being chosen by “So You Think You Can Dance” choreographer Wade Robson in 2004, Broadway legend Chita Rivera in 2005 and recording artist Paula Abdul in 2008.
