The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal stabbing that took place at 13469 Leatherbury Road in Loxley.

According to a report from the BCSO, Timothy Russell Myers, 26, appears to have suffered a single stab wound to the torso area around 11:46 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14. He was pronounced dead at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center after being transported by paramedics from the scene.

When deputies arrived, they found Myers’ wife, Britnea Myers, attempting CPR on the victim and holding a towel over the victim’s wound. Deputies took over CPR until paramedics arrived and transported him to SBRMC.

Britnea Myers is currently being questioned along with another witness.

According to the Baldwin County Department of Corrections website, Myers was arrested July 8 on charges of domestic violence, third degree, and released on $2,500 bond. He was also arrested and released in January 2006 on six counts of negotiating a worthless instrument.

No charges have been filed at this time.
