Shirley Ann Walley, 72, of Fairhope, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Walley was born in California, and had been a resident of Fairhope for 48 years.

She was married to her loving husband, Ray, for more than 49 years.

Shirley had worked for many years as an accountant with Wagner Tax Service.

A longtime very active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, she was also a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Ray; daughter, Kim (Phil) Fraher of Houston, Texas; son, Ernie (Bonnie) Walley of Ashland, Ore.; sister, Carolyn Wood of Knoxville, Tenn.; sister and brother-in-law, Aline and Samuel Givens of Fairhope; nephews, Kenny Merriweather and Lloyd Peffer; niece, Connie Thompson; and grandchildren, Abby and Thomas Fraher and Lillian Walley and Abby Conte.

A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Thack H. Dyson officiating.

Visitation will begin at noon.

Inurnment will be in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
