Shirley Cornelia Burton Chambless, 77, born in Natchez, Miss. and a resident of Bay Minette, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Oakwood Nursing Home. She was a furniture finisher at Harbor Furniture.
She is survived by her children, Miriam (Perry) Dickinson of Golden, Colo., John William Moody of Medina, Calif., Rebecca Ann (Mark) Phillips of Crossroads, Kelly Chastang of Bay Minette and Scott (Linda) Moody of Bay Minette; 14 grandchildren, Wayne, Eric, Steve, Jeff, Chris, Alison, Patrick, Bryan, Flynn, Haley, Amanda, Miranda, Mariah and McKenzie; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Moody Poole.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 3 p.m., at the Christian Life Church, with the Rev. Robert Gates and the Rev. J.P. Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at White House Fork Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 3, 2013, from 6 p.m. until the 3 p.m. service on Tuesday at Christian Life Church.
