Shirley Gunnison Hickey, 73, a native of Fairhope and a resident of Magnolia Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010.
She was a member of the Fairhope Christian Church. She was a helper to many, loved to laugh and fish. Family was her life.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jerry D. Hickey, Magnolia Springs; three daughters, Sharron (Charles) Hollingsworth of Fairhope, JoAnn “Her Heart” (Harold) Sherman of Magnolia Springs and Pamela (Robin Harvey) Hickey of Phoenix; sister, Carol Johnson of Fairhope; two grandchildren, Kelli and Lea Hollingsworth; niece, Wendy Johnson; and nephew, Steven Johnson.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31 at Montrose Cemetery with Rev. Mike Barnes officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Cecilia Convent, 801 Dominican Drive, Nashville, TN 37228.
