DAPHNE, Ala.—Daphne police have arrested three men in connection with three April 17 shootings, during which suspects allegedly fired shots into a house and moving vehicle.

Anthony Keevan Leigh, 21, of Mobile, has been charged with three counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle and three counts of attempted murder.

Darzel Lawrence Hardin, 20, of Daphne, has been charged with four counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle, four counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Evidence discovered during the investigation, according to authorities, led police to Sawaida Roshaun Arnold, 21, of Daphne, arrested on four counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle, four counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Daphne Police—as of press time Friday afternoon—were still seeking a fourth, possible accomplice, Julien Demone Hardin, 22, of Daphne, who is wanted for possession of a controlled substance; police said the suspect is sought based on evidence found during the shooting investigation.

Hardin is also wanted for questioning.

“There were three shooting incidents,” Daphne Police Lt. Jud Beedy said. “One was on Valerie Lane.” The other two incidents involved vehicles in pursuit of each other, he said.

“The house (fired into) sits on the southbound corner (of Daphmont Drive and Valerie Lane),” Beedy said.

“(The suspects) were sitting in their car waiting on someone,” Beedy said. Shots were fired into the house and suspects then followed, also opening fire, he said.

A victim was treated and released from the hospital and is recovering from his wounds, according to police.

The suspects were driving in a car on Valerie Lane near Daphmont Drive when they opened fire into another passenger car, according to police.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Daphne Police Department, 621-9100.
