Bobby Allen Shumack of Silverhill, died May 9, 2010 at a healthcare facility in Birmingham.
He was born May 5, 1947 in Mobile to Clenton Allen and Flora Weeks Shumack. He lived in Silverhill for many years and retired from the Baldwin County Road Department and Vanity Fair Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ricky Shumack.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Shumacck (Lawson) Chapman of Silverhill; a special cousin, companion and caretaker, Richard Solomon of Loxley; his loving and supportative church family, The Church of God in Loxley; and many other friends and family members.
The family would like to thank all who prayed for Bobby and expressed love and concern for him during his lengthy illness. They especially express appreciation to the many health care professionals in Fairhope, Mobile and Birmingham who provided excellent and compassionate care for Bobby. He felt very blessed to have known all of you.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15 at the Loxley Church of God with Pastor Herman Knapp from the Loxley Church of God officiating.
