Sibley Trest Richerson, age 92, a native and resident of Stockton, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at Robertsdale Health Care.
He retired from the Civil Service as a material support manager. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 53 years, Betty Ruth (Buck) Richerson. He is survived by three sons, Don L. (Julie) Richerson of Daphne; James S. (Diane) Richerson of Tallahassee, Fla., and George W. (Lisa) Richerson of Marietta, Ga.; one daughter, Pam Snead of Eufaula; one sister, Bessie Marie Owens of Atmore; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.The funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Stockton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Matt McCollum officiating. Burial will follow at Richerson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Stockton Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 438, Stockton, AL 36579.
