James Long, a native of Silverhill and a resident of Westminster, Md., is a Maryland insurance agent for Liberty Mutual, and received his additional Pennsylvania and West Virginia state licenses on Oct. 4.

A graduate of Robertsdale High School, Long, the son of Margaret and Steve Long of Silverhill, is joining the Kiwanis Club of Greater Westminster, and attends LifePoint Church. He is a member of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
