SILVERHILL, Ala. — Investigators with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office have arrested Aimee Frazier, 41, of Silverhill, on charges related to embezzlement of funds from Baldwin Youth Services Inc. The investigation began when representatives of Hartmann, Blackmon & Kilgore PC reported to the Sheriff’s Office a discrepancy in accounts that they manage for BYS.

An internal review by Hartmann, Blackmon & Kilgore revealed that one of their own employees, Frazier, had been embezzling funds from BYS for a period of approximately 2 years. The case was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office investigation has revealed that Frazier has stolen over $100,000 in funds that belonged to BYS. Frazier was interviewed this morning by investigators where she confessed to the allegations against her. Frazier has been charged with one count of Theft of Property in the 1st degree and one count of Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card. The Sheriff’s Office would expect numerous additional charges to be levied against Ms. Frazier at Grand Jury.

Frazier will be taken to the Baldwin County Corrections Center where she will be held on $12,250 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank Hartmann, Blackmon & Kilgore PC for their cooperation with this investigation.

Their honesty and integrity have allowed this case to be aggressively and thoroughly investigated.
