Rita M. Simmons, 77, a native of East Syracuse, N.Y., and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, May 9, 2010.
She was a 1951 graduate of Nottingham High School and attended Syracuse University.
She was employed at Helmers Inc. and the Addis Company as assistant buyer.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Fairhope.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lewis Simmons of Atlanta in 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Andrew R. Simmons of Santa Monica, Calif., and Johnathan C. Simmons of Fairhope; sister, Theresa Vasiloff of Baldwinsville, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Cason Funeral Service, Foley.
