BAY MINETTE, Alabama — State troopers are investigating the cause of an early morning accident Tuesday on State Highway 59 which claimed the life of a Bay Minette woman, according to trooper Greg Eubanks. The crash was 3 miles north of Bay Minette at the 51 mile marker. Amy Turner Kreis, 68, of Bay Minette, was killed when the 2008 Nissan Sentra she was driving traveled off of the roadway and overturned. Kreis was ejected from the vehicle. However, investigators have not determined whether she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead while being transported to USA Medical Center in Mobile, Eubanks said.
