ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The Sirens of the Sea held its annual Denim and Diamonds fundraiser on Oct. 7 at the Orange Beach Community Center.

It was an exciting and fun evening for all who attended. The duo, Blondie and Clyde, provided wonderful entertainment. There was delicious food, a fabulous silent auction as well as a drawdown for $5,000.

Joan Contorno and Jerry Green were the final two in the drawdown and they each took home $2,500. The Sirens of the Sea is one of the local Mardi Gras krewes on the Island. Part of the proceeds from this fundraiser will be given to Mary's Shelter and a scholarship will be awarded to a deserving Gulf Shores high school senior.

The Sirens will be having another fundraiser in February, View from the Top. Further details will be coming about this. For more information, please call Ann Wright at 205-335-7900.
