Gulf Shores
The city of Gulf Shores will host a fireworks show beginning 9 p.m. Monday at the Gulf State Park Pier.
The city encourages residents to bring blankets, chairs, family and friends to enjoy the spectacle and celebrate the birthday of the United States of America.
In case of inclement weather, the show will take place Tuesday.

The show Friday will begin at 8 p.m. and include music from Pink Floyd. Saturday's show will begin at 8 p.m. and include a performance by the Fab Four, a Beatles tribute band.
Tickets cost $15.
Foley
Open Door Baptist Church in Foley will host a patriotic holiday performance by the Seminole String Band Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
The church, which also serves as Open Door Christian School, will host the band for the first time, church pastor Jim Robinson said.
"It will last until close to noon probably," he said, noting it will be a patriotic performance coming one day before the Fourth of July holiday.
The band is a family and church bluegrass gospel band which formed in 2009 out of Seminole Baptist Church in Seminole, Ala. Robinson said the band performs quite a bit in the area.
The event is free for the public and everyone is invited, Robinson said.
The Foley-based church is located at 20774 County Road 12.
Magnolia Springs
The Magnolia Springs Volunteer Fire Department and Community Association will sponsor a Fourth of July parade Monday beginning at 11 a.m.
The parade, which happens annually, will begin at Pecan Grove and Oak Street and end at the fire department building. Lineup for the parade begins at 10:30 a.m.
After the parade, there will be activities for the kids at the fire department. There also will be hot dogs and drinks.
Elberta
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5658, out of Elberta, and the town of Elberta will host a fireworks show Saturday night at the post home located on U.S. 98.
The fireworks display will be preceded by a "Family Fun Day," Mayor Marvin Williams said. The afternoon-long event will begin at 2 p.m. and end with the fireworks show.
"It will include water slides, water melons, music and fun," Williams said.
Summerdale
The town of Summerdale will host a fireworks show July 2 at 9 p.m. to celebrate July the Fourth.
The fireworks will be shot at the town baseball field, and residents will gather at Pioneer Park. The city hosts a firework show each year around the holiday.
"It's just kind of a family day. We'd like to encourage people if they want to come out and bring their grills and tailgate in the park. At 9 p.m. the fireworks will begin and it will be great," Summerdale Mayor David Wilson said.
