GULF SHORES, Ala. - The 14th Annual Realty Executives Charity Golf Tournament to benefit local Boy Scout Troop 49, originally scheduled for May 10, is set for Friday at Craft Farms. According to organizers, a few openings are still available.

“It’s an honor each year to hold this tournament, and weather forced us to reschedule it this year,” Realty Executives Gulf Coast Broker/Owner Randy McKinney said. “The Boy Scouts played an important role in my life growing up, and I like to lend support when I can to allow the Scouts to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth.”

Office Manager Steve Jones, a veteran of numerous civic fundraising efforts said. “I was a Scout growing up, and I’m almost ashamed to say this is the first time I’ve been involved in a fundraiser for the Boy Scouts down here, but I’m looking forward to it – and a great round of golf on Friday.”

The tournament will be held at Craft Farms Golf Club in Gulf Shores, with lunch and registration beginning at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The tournament format is a four-person scramble with a cost of $125 per player. For teams of four unable to pre-register, until the field is filled slots will remain open for walk-ups.

The donation covers all fees, lunch, a chance to win great prizes and a $25,000 Hole-In-One prize. Past prizes have included Yeti coolers, Garmin GPS devices, Canon digital cameras and other great swag. Tee box and green sponsorships are also available to help promote your business if you are unable to play.
