Smash hit returns to Pensacola Saenger

PENSACOLA, Fla. — “STOMP” is making its triumphant return to Pensacola, at the newly renovated Saenger Theatre, April 7-8.

The return of the percussive hit also brings some new surprises, with some sections of the show now updated and restructured.

Tickets for “STOMP,” ranging from $52 to $42, are on sale now at the Saenger Theatre Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, or by calling (800) 745-3000.

Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more by calling (850) 595-3880.

From its beginnings as a street performance in the United Kingdom, “STOMP” has grown into an international sensation over the past 14 years, having performed in over 350 cities in 36 countries worldwide.

The young performers “make a rhythm out of anything we can get our hands on that makes a sound,” says co-creator/director Luke Cresswell.

“STOMP” uses everything but conventional percussion instruments — trash cans, tea chests, plastic bags, plungers, boots, and hubcaps — to fill the stage with compelling and infectious rhythms.

“STOMP” is sponsored locally by Friends of the Saenger, COX Media, the AT&T Real Yellow Pages and Whitney Bank.
