Jean A. Johnson Smith, born March 3, 1936, a lifelong resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, March 22, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur R. Johnson; mother, Rebecca Clark; and son, Keith L Smith.
Survivors include four children, Christopher Smith, James A. Smith, Rebecca (Joseph) Petties and Tony V. Smith, all of Fairhope; five grandchildren, all of Fairhope; one great-grandchild of Fairhope; a loving and devoted cousin, who was more like a brother, Joseph (Celestine) Clark of Mobile; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26 at New Era Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor L. Franks officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Beech Cemetery.
