Lillie Virginia Money Smith, 91, a resident of Bay Minette, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at Oakwood Nursing Home.
She lived most of her life in Cedar Bluff and moved to Bay Minette in 1955. She graduated in 1936 from Cedar Bluff High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Hollis and Gussie Bell Colbert Money and her husband Grover Lee Smith.
Survivors include a son, Hollis Lee (Carolyn) Smith of Spanish Fort; three brothers, James T. Money of Bay Minette, Porter Lee Money of Stockton and Billy (Helen) Money of Elberta; three grandchildren, Raymond (Susan) Smith of Appling, Ga., Gary (Alison) Smith of Augusta, Ga., and Sharon (Kirk) Redding of Evans, Ga.; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two nieces, Linda Babb of Summerdale and Pat Hammond of Stockton.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Cedar Bluff Cemetery in Centre with the Rev. Mark Cosby officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Cedar Bluff Cemetery Association c/o Ms. Ann Miller, 3285 Spring Street, Cedar Bluff, AL 25959.
