FOLEY — A Foley man is in jail for the sexual assault of more than one minor.

According to Cpl. Eric Waldrep of the Foley Police Department, authorities were called to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center on June 30 “in reference to the sexual assault of a minor female.”

Investigation of the assault led police to arrest 32-year-old Jeremy R. Hamill and charge him with rape in the second degree, sodomy in the second degree, enticing a child and sexual abuse of a juvenile in the second degree.

Two days later, authorities discovered more evidence in the case.

“On July 2nd, we had a second victim come forward,” Waldrep said in a telephone interview, explaining that the victim reported to Foley Police the sexual abuse of her 14-year-old daughter.

Further investigation led to subsequent charges for Hamill, that include sodomy in the second degree, rape in the second degree, enticing a child and sexual abuse of a juvenile.

Waldrep said a search warrant was issued to allow for the search of Hamill's residence, with computers, cell phones and other devices were collected.

“Pending a forensic electronics investigation, other charges may be pending,” the detective said.

At press time, Hamill is being held on a $120,0000 bond at the Baldwin County Corrections Center in Bay Minette.
