Soldier visits with W.J. Carroll students

DAPHNE, Ala.— Pam Earle, a sixth-grade teacher at W.J. Carroll Intermediate School, had a special visitor in her classroom.

Leah Dooling’s father, Eugene Dooling, recently returned from Afghanistan. Serving as a policeman, he trained the Afghani in police work and taught Afghani adults. Eugene Dooling gave a presentation to Earle’s class about living in Afghanistan. He presented the class with an American flag that hung over a liberated Afghanistan on Nov. 10 of this year.
