BAY MINETTE, Ala. — Bay Minette Civic Club’s S.O.S. Festival 5 is slated March 1 at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center and will feature performances by school bands, choirs and other groups, with all proceeds benefitting nine North Baldwin County public schools.
Festivities are slated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free.
A silent auction, cake walk, and raffle also is planned, along with school booths selling novelties, food, drinks, books, games, face painting, etc.
Cake walk and raffle tickets are $1. Schools sell Raffle tickets from mid February until the time of the event.
Six prizes will be awarded: a castle bunk bed ($1,399) from Uncle Grumpy‚s Furniture, grand prize, ($1,000 cash) from Bay Minette Civic Club, a set of three tables ($600) from Standard Furniture, a wood park Bench ($400) from Everlasting Hardwoods, a Peavy electric guitar package ($300) from Jack’s Music, and a gift certificate ($250) from Schmidt’s Music.
Sponsors and silent auction items are needed. Seven sponsor levels are available.
