Foley Intermediate School teachers and students worked together to write grant proposals to purchase new educational materials for their school. Mrs. Amy Wheaton and fifth grade student Celeste Bryan were awarded $975 to begin using literature circles in their classroom to make productive use of independent reading time. Fifth grade student Sam Harper and Mrs. Judy Thomas received a grant of $649 to purchase a collection of books for the library. The "Health and Wellness" collection will include books on diet, nutrition, exercise, and health topics. The students and teachers would like to thank the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation for awarding these grants to Foley Intermediate School teachers and students.
