Spanish Fort High School sets mail-in registration for 2011-12

SPANISH FORT, Ala.— With classes barely dismissed for the summer, few students are thinking about the 2011-12 school year, but Spanish Fort High School officials would like to remind students to watch their mailboxes for one major change.

"Spanish Fort High School will begin a mail-in registration format this school year," said SFHS Principal Marty McRae.

The forms, he said, will be mailed home final report cards, and completed registrations can either be mailed in or dropped off at the high school office on Plaza de Toros Drive no later than July 5. This directive applies to incoming freshmen as well.

Any student new to the Spanish Fort feeder pattern planning to attend the high school in the fall is asked to call the main office at 251-635-3259 and make an appointment to visit in person and register.

McRae said all students who have "cleared all obligations" from 2010-11 and paid registration fees for 2011-12 are invited to pick up their schedules and prepaid items in the SFHS cafeteria from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Seniors, Aug. 1
  • Juniors, Aug 2
  • Sophomores, Aug. 3
  • Freshmen, Aug. 4

Any student who misses his assigned time can pick up their supplies and schedules in the main office from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Aug. 4.
