DAPHNE, Ala.— A Spanish Fort dress store will thank teachers May 3 by offering a discount off the teacher’s entire purchase to celebrate National Teacher Day.

Teachers can apply a 15 percent discount to their purchase of regularly priced merchandise from the retailer.

In a news release, the retailer claims teachers will be pampered with “personal attention, fashion tips and top-notch service.” The retailer offers casual and career apparel and accessories for women.

Cindy Killian, assistant manager of the local store, said it will serve refreshments at the teacher appreciation event.

The event applies to all types of teachers for any grade level, Killian said, and teachers can bring an identification card from their school board if they have one.

Killian said if teachers cannot provide identification, it is not required to receive the discount.
