‘Spring into Reading’ set for March 28

DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne Public Library invites all area students to participate in the upcoming 2009 poetry contest held during the 11th annual “Spring into Reading” children’s festival set for March 28.

This year’s theme is ‘Library Safari’; poems must be original and should be related to the festival theme or a general library theme. Original artwork may be used to enhance the poem.

Include contact information on the back of each entry.

The contest is open to students in grades pre-K though 12 and home-schooled students. Ribbons or gift cards will be awarded to the winners.

Deadline to enter the poetry contest is 5 p.m. March 6.
