GULF SHORES, Alabama — Music will fill the air as the St. Andrew by the Sea Chancel Choir and the Branyon Bell Choir presents Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 4 p.m.
The program will feature familiar carols and other selections such as the spiritual Round the Glory Manger and the hauntingly beautiful Chanukah Prayer. Interspersed will be readings from scriptures sharing the expectation and anticipation of Advent and Christmas. The service will end with a unique arrangement of Silent Night sung in English and German.
St. Andrew Choral Director Dr. Roger Jones will conduct the choir. Accompanying the choir will be St. Andrew Director of Music Joan Hand, the Branyon Bell Choir and Bessie Malone.
A warm invitation is extended to the public on behalf of all the musicians to join them as they present their gift of music in celebration of this joyous season. A nursery will be provided for young children.
