An 11 year old St. Patrick’s Catholic School student unexpectedly died Wednesday afternoon after collapsing on the Robertsdale playground and not being able to breathe.
No specifics are known at this time about the cause of death as police officials are waiting on autopsy results to come back.
Robertsdale Police said the child was transported to South Baldwin Hospital in Foley and was pronounced dead there. Officials from St. Patrick’s could not be reached for comment and because of the child’s age, the name cannot be released.
