Staff Sgt. Larry Walker "Pop" Paul Sr.

Perdido, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 in Flomaton.

He was a truck driver for White’s Pallet Company in Flomaton. He attended Little River Holiness Church. He loved his family, riding his motorcycle, fishing and hunting. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He served in the National Guard retiring from 711th Signal Battalion Company C after 36 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Twynette Paul Byrd; father, James Lorenza Paul; sister, Sharon Ann Paul Shipp; and two brothers, Hasten Randolph Dean Sr. and James Earnest Paul.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Lorraine Hadley Paul of Perdido; son, Larry Walker (Dana) Paul Jr. of Atmore; daughter, Lori Michelle (Brad) Tolbert of Atmore; six grandchildren, Deidra Paul, Seairra Bullin, Desiree Pritchett, Jason Tolbert, Jordan Tolbert and Jaclyn Tolbert, all of Atmore; two sisters, Diane (Harvey) McKinley of Perdido, Nancy Ann (Tom) Dean of Loxley; three brothers, David Neal (Keena) Paul of Perdido, Lorenza Dow (Paula) Paul of Atmore and Carl Eugene (Dean) Paul of Bay Minette; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Dean of Atmore and Sheila Paul of Lottie; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 7 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. David Bryars, the Rev. D.L. Harville and Helen Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Stockton Memorial Cemetery.
