Steadman-Jones

Mary Theresa Steadman and Larry Brian Jones were united in marriage at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Oct. 29, 2011. The Rev. John G. Lynes officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip N. Steadman of Semmes and the granddaughter of Mrs. Claire V. Steadman and the late Charles B. Steadman, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Dorgan.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Jones of Satsuma and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carlos D. Jones and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas T. Gray.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory Da Vinci wedding gown.

She chose her sisters Kim Steadman Savage as matron of honor and Laura Claire Steadman as maid of honor.

Also attending the bride were Catherine Reinhart Steadman, Linda Watson Bowen, Sam Spreadbury Finley, Tonya Marie Thompson, Heather Shorr Lofthus and Rachel Hale Butler.

Alyssa Marie Dockery, a former student of the bride, was the flower girl.

The groom was attended by Kyle Allen Saunders as best man.

Also attending the groom were Jon Preston Delburn, Brian James Delburn, Arington Antonio Rodriguez, Dennis Nelson Savage Jr. and David Wayne Farmer.

James David Dockery, also a former student of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Ushers were John Anthony Steadman Jr., David Lloyd Steadman and Shayne Thomas Gervais.

The gifts were brought forward by Susan Morgan Skelton, Robin Owens Kelley, Sharon Johnston Bishop and Lizabeth Merriam Irvin.

Eucharistic ministers were Anne Dorgan Germann and Nathalie Steadman Faggard.

Program attendants were Paige Noel Bentley and Taylor Marie Bentley.

Michele Germann Morgan served as the wedding coordinator.

The bride is a graduate of McGill Toolen Catholic High School and received her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Alabama. She received her master’s degree from the University of West Alabama.

She is currently employed with the Tuscaloosa County School System as a kindergarten teacher.

The groom is a graduate of Faith Academy, and is currently pursuing a business degree at the University of Alabama.

He is employed with the registrar’s office at the University of Alabama.

A reception followed at Heron Lakes Country Club.

After a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, the newlyweds reside in Tuscaloosa.
