Stella Parker Hendrix, 85, a native of Brewton and a resident of Spanish Fort, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
She retired from the Escambia County Commission Office in Brewton, and was an active member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence A. Hendrix.
Stella is survived by a daughter, Clara Ann (Byron) Hayles of Spanish Fort; a son, Clarence Randolph Hendrix of New York, N.Y.; a grandson, Michael (Robin) Hayles of Spanish Fort; a granddaughter, Amy Hayles of Vancleave, Miss.; four great-grandchildren, Caleb Hendrix Hayles, Jacob Jordan Hayles, Penelope Ann-Nichole Hayles and Grayson Wilson Hayles, all of Spanish Fort; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Visitation will be held, Friday, May 9, 2014, from 1:30-2:30 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Jubilee Memorial Cemetery.
