June Pinney Stengel, 83, a native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a longtime resident of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and a resident of Lillian, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2009 in Foley.

She was a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Pittsville, Wis., Chapter; former president of Vesper P.T.A.; 4-H leader; member of the Roving Elks of Warrington, Fla., and a member of the Lillian Community Club since 1991.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Pinney; two brothers, Myles and Walter Brundidge.

Survivors include her husband, Preston D. Stengel of Lillian; daughter, Sandra (Michael) Adams of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; three sons, Clifford (Kathleen) Pinney of Onconto, Wis., Douglass Pinney of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Michael (Patti) Pinney of Nekoosa, Wis.; five brothers, Zane C. Brundidge of Lillian, Rogers L. (Bonnie) Brundidge of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Clayton D. (Dottie) Brundidge of Roger, Ark., Patrick R. (Edith) Brundidge, Richard E. (Sue) Brundidge, all of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; two sisters, Charlene (Jerry) Gullixon of Lillian, Jacqueline Raflik of Stevens Point, Wis.; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
