Stephen Michael “Steve” Wenzel Sr., 59, a native of Indiana and resident of Robertsdale, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014.
Mr. Wenzel was a member of Robertsdale United Methodist Church. He was a homebuilder for 41 years.
Steve never met a stranger and was always lending a helping hand. But most of all, he was a proud father and loving husband.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Wenzel of Robertsdale; daughter, Stacia Michel Wenzel of Robertsdale; two sons, Benjamin Matthew “Matt” Wenzel of Destin, Fla. and Stephen Michael Wenzel Jr. of Robertsdale; father, Benjamin Wenzel and stepmother, Sandy Wenzel, both of Evansville, Ind.; mother, Mary Cowan of New Braunsfels, Texas; two sisters, Denise Hunt of Evansville, Ind. and Jenifer Rogers of New Braunsfels, Texas; and three brothers, Keith Wenzel of Dallas, Texas, Jeff Wenzel of Madison, Wisc. and Jimmy Ladd of New Braunsfels, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Robertsdale United Methodist Church, with burial at Boyington Cemetery in Robertsdale.
A visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale.
