Everett Wayne Stephens, 51 of Elberta, previously of Searcy, Ark., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 in Elberta.
He was born April 1, 1957 in Searcy, Ark., to Herbert Stephens and Ruby Waggle Stephens Phillips.
He was a brick mason for many years in the Searcy area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna Stephens, and a brother William Stephens.
Survivors include his fiancé‚, Sheryl Turner of Elberta; children, Kimberly Hatch of Westminster, Texas, Jason Stephens of Seattle, Heather Alcala of Bradford; brothers, Thelbert (Carol) Stephens of Cabot, Ark., Frank (Sue) Stephens of Higginson, Ark., Arther (Susie) Stephens of Pottsville, Ark., Robert Stephens of Bradford, Ark., James Phillips of Rosebud, Ark., and Floyd “Junior” Waggle of McRae, Ark.; sisters, Bertha Tucker of McRae, Ark., Brenda Stephens of Searcy, Ark., and Glenda (Arnold) Light of Bradford, Ark.; grandchildren, Brianna Hatch, Jaden Alcala, Justin Alcala and Mason Stephens; his best buddy, Stripes his cat; numerous other relatives and friends surrounding Searcy and also in the Elberta area.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 6 at Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy, Ark. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at Calvary Pentecostal Church of God in Beebe, Ark. Interment will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery near Higginson, Ark.
