Steven Lamar Baker, 71, a Vietnam combat veteran and recipient of a Purple Heart and Bronze Star, a resident of Fairhope, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015.
He is survived by his wife and childhood friend, Linda Chavis Baker of Fairhope; son, Kelly (Shelly) Baker of Huntingtown, Md.; stepdaughter, Salinda (Kevin) Hamlin of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchildren, Joshua, Colen, Lily Baker, Landen and Loghan Hamlin; and a niece, Conlee Whiteley of New Orleans, La.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at 3 p.m., at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
Interment will be held in the Alabama State Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort on a later date.
