John William “Mann” Stewart, 56, a native and resident of the Phillipsville community of Bay Minette, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile.
He was a school bus mechanic with the Baldwin County Board of Education.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Williams Stewart of Phillipsville; son, John W. Stewart Jr. of Phillipsville; daughter, Kathryn Cassandra Shiver of Phillipsville; eight grandchildren; his father, William Wright Stewart of Rabun; two brothers, William Monroe “Buddy” Stewart of Rabun and William Wayne Stewart of Bay Minette; and two sisters, Shirley Ann Thomley of Uriah and Sharon Elizabeth Gaddy of Montgomery.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4 at Halls Fork Cemetery in Phillipsville with the Rev. Angelo Thomley and the Rev. Phil Bryars officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Michael Thomley, Mark Thomley, Steven Stewart, Preston Jones, Randal Aaron and Mark Lewis. Standby pallbearers are Kenny Shiver and Kenny Gray.
