Arthur Eugene Stewart, 67, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007 at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette.

He was a retired educator with the Baldwin County School System and was currently employed 17 years with Crosby Lumber Company. He was a member and Past Master of Bay Minette Masonic Lodge No. 498 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Stewart Quinley and his father, Arthur Stewart.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Finney Stewart of Bay Minette; three children, Tracy Stewart (Kevin) Boutwell of Bay Minette, Michael Eugene (Angela) Stewart of Spanish Fort and Todd Finney (Carla) Stewart of Bay Minette; four grandsons, Mason Ray Boutwell, Adam Stewart Boutwell, Thomas Finney Stewart and Cooper Douglas Stewart; his mother, Adele (Earl) Stabler of Walnut Hill, FL; his brother, James Jerry (Carol) Stewart of Bay Minette; one sister, Betty Elaine Stewart (Mike) Bray of Bay Minette; two brothers-in-law, Walter B. (Betty) Finney of Seymour, MO and Norman W. (Nancy) Finney of Gallatin, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8 at the New Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Wilson Palmer, James Glasgow, Jackie Glasgow, Dewayne Chastang, Arnold Thomaston, Ronald Richerson and John Emmons.

The family requests memorial donations be made to New Life Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Wilson Palmer, 15620 Calvin Richerson Road, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
