BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Baldwin County authorities are continuing to investigate an alleged meth manufacturing operation in North Baldwin County that resulted in the arrest last Thursday of a Stockton man, according to a release by the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department.
Wilson Edward Stamps, 61, of Boatyard Road, remains incarcerated under no bond at the Baldwin County Corrections Center.
He is charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, with several unlawful distributions of a controlled substance charges forthcoming, the release stated.
The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force, along with the assistance of the Baldwin County District Attorney’s Office, Alabama Game and Fish, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, served a search warrant April 19 at Stamps’ residence in the Tensaw Community of Stockton.
The warrant was the result of a lengthy investigation involving the sales of ICE, a form of crystal methamphetamine.
During the search, investigators allegedly seized methamphetamine packaged for sale, multiple firearms and U.S. currency.
