DAPHNE, Ala.—Eight Christ the King Catholic School students were winners of “The Story of Fatima” essay contest sponsored by the Eastern Shore Serra Club.
The contest was held to honor the 91st anniversary of the apparition of the Blessed Mother at Fatima; it was open to grades five through eight.
Winners were Kendall Broom, honorable mention; Maddie Coder, first place; Erica Lucas, honorable mention; Joseph Quint, second place; Emily Wright, honorable mention; Maura Gates, third place; Mary Chason Gunn, honorable mention; and Emily Dye, honorable mention.
Students were recognized at Assumption Hall on Oct. 15.
