Taylor Gates and Darrin Salley from Mrs. Cendy Hart's second grade class at Gulf Shores Elementary are using a beam, fulcrum and blocks to create structures that balance. Students also created structures such as the one pictured, and had to determine where the fulcrum should go to make the beam balance. Darrin and Taylor found the correct location for the fulcrum, and it balanced! We are learning lots in the AMSTI Science Balancing and Weighing kit.
