Art students of Austin Boyd are busy creating masterpieces to enter in the GSHS 10th Annual Night of the Arts Talent Show. The students have been working on portraits of various subjects, including famous people, random pictures taken from news media, and self-portraits.  Talent Show planning committee members have taken a peek inside Mr. Boyd’s classroom and have not been disappointed. Several students have already turned in entries for the show, according to Mr. Boyd, who is collecting the entries for the PTSO.  We want to remind students that one does not need to be enrolled in an art class to enter the competition.  All budding artists are welcome.  The Talent Show Committee is also seeking entries in the Photography division of the visual arts.  Several local professional artists will be on hand to judge the work and personally present the awards.  Judging will take place on Tuesday, February 22, the day of the Talent Show.

The Talent Show will be held at the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church auditorium from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the high school library and at the Thomas B. Norton Public Library in Gulf Shores.
