Students at Gulf Shores Elementary learning about living things

Bennett Reetz and Carleigh Ring, both 2nd graders in Mrs. Cendy Hart’s class at Gulf Shores Elementary are using a magnifying glass to observe a tree seedling, an AMSTI Science investigation. Students are learning about organisms, and have snails, guppies, millipedes, and pill bugs living in their classroom. Students created terrariums for the tree seedlings, moss mats, millipedes, and pill bugs to live in, and aquariums for the snails and guppies to live in. Students also learned living things need air, water, food, and shelter.
